「第5回 順天堂大学＆シンガポール国立大学合同国際フォーラム」が順天堂大学で開催されました。テーマは「持続可能な健康長寿社会2023」で、順天堂大学の湯浅資之教授とMyo Nyein Aung准教授をはじめ、海外からはシンガポール国立大学社会政策分析学部のPaul Cheung教授、韓国延世大学グローバルヘルスセンターのNam Eun Woo教授、米国マイアミ大学人類学講座のLouis Herns Marcelin教授がプレゼンターとして登壇しました。教授陣に対して学生からは多くの質問が投げかけられ、活気あるディスカッションの時間を持ちました。
”The 5th Juntendo University & National University of Singapore Joint International Forum" was held at Juntendo University. The theme was "Sustainable Healthy and Ageing Society 2023," and the presenters were Prof. Motoyuki Yuasa and Associate Prof. Myo Nyein Aung from Juntendo University, Prof. Paul Cheung from the Department of Social Policy Analysis, National University of Singapore, Prof. Nam Eun Woo from Yonsei University Global Health Center, Korea, and Prof. Louis Herns Marcelin from the Department of Anthropology, Miami University, USA. Students asked various questions to the professors and had a lively discussion on the topics.

アメリカのマイアミ大学教養学部文化人類学教室よりHerns Marcelin教授が来学され、移民についてのご講演をしてくださいました。先生は社会科学系において世界最大といわれる数千億円の助成金を獲得し、世界中の移民の実態についてグローバルリサーチ（MIDEQ）を展開しています。当研究室とも親和性があるので近未来の共同研究の可能性について議論をしました。
Prof. Herns Marcelin from the Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Miami came to have a presentation on migration. Dr. Herns and his team have received the world’s largest grant in social science to conduct research on migration around the world (MIDEQ). As our research lab has a strong affinity with Dr. Herns’ work, we had a lively discussion to explore how we can collaborate in the near future.

本研究室の「日本、韓国、台湾における高齢者のスピリチュアルヘルスの比較研究」が、ファイザーヘルスリサーチ振興財団の第32回（2023年度）へルスリサーチ研究助成対象となりました。12月9日には紀尾井カンファレンスセンターで研究助成贈呈式があり、グローバルへルスリサーチ研究室メンバーで参加して、研究概要を紹介してきました。
The research conducted by the Department of Global Health Research, "Comparative Study of Spiritual Health among the Elderly in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan." has been selected for the 32nd (2023) Health Research Grant by the Pfizer Health Research Foundation. On December 9th, there was a grant award ceremony at Kioi conference center, and the members of the research participated the ceremony as a representative of the Global Health Research Laboratory and gave a presentation about overview of the research.

2023年9月、JICAチェア（JICA日本研究講座設立支援事業）の一環として、順天堂大学大学院グローバルヘルスリサーチ研究室の教員スタッフら全員で、ボリビア国サンフランシスコ・ハビエル大学大学院にてシリーズ講義を遠隔・対面で行いました。
シリーズ講義の締めくくりとして、サンフランシスコ・ハビエル大学（20日スクレ）、アキノ・デ・ボリビア大学（22日サンタクルス）において、「日本の公衆衛生大学院」と「感染症対策」の2つのテーマについて白山芳久准教授がシンポジウムを現地で開催しました。In September 2023, as part of the JICA Chair (JICA Support Program for the Establishment of a Chair in Japanese Studies), all faculty members of the Juntendo University Graduate School of Global Health Research gave a series of lectures, both remote and in-person, at the Graduate School, Universidad of San Francisco Xavier in Bolivia.
To conclude the series of lectures, Associate Professor Yoshihisa Shirayama held symposiums on two topics, "Japanese Graduate School of Public Health" and "Countermeasures against Infectious Diseases," at Universidad San Francisco Xavier (20th, Sucre) and Universidad de Aquino Bolivia (22nd, Santa Cruz).

タイ王国のマヒドン大学サラヤキャンパスにあるアセアン健康開発研究所（ASEAN Institute for Health Development）と順天堂大学は「タイで学ぶグローバルヘルス夏季セミナー」を共催で開催しました。8月6日から14日までの9日間、座学のほか、バンコク都市部やラチャンブリー県を訪問し、コミュニティから県レベルに至るタイのヘルスシステムを視察しました。日本からは順天堂大学の学生の他、金沢大学と国際医療福祉大学の医学部生が25名参加しました。加えて5名のタイ人学生も参加し、参加者同士楽しい国際交流もできました。
The ASEAN Institute for Health Development in Salaya Campus of Mahidol University, Thailand and Juntendo University jointly held the "Summer Seminar on Global Health in Thailand". For nine days from August 6th to 14th, in addition to classroom lectures, the participants visited urban areas of Bangkok and Ratchanburi Province to observe health system from community level to province level. From Japan, a total of 25 people participated, including Juntendo University students, medical students from Kanazawa University and International University of Health and Welfare. Five Thai students also participated, and they had a fun international exchange.

JICA横浜「日系社会研修員受入事業」の制度を利用し、2023年度は日系ブラジル人医師1名を順天堂大学グローバル・ヘルスリサーチで研修員として受け入れました。大学講義以外にも、連携する伊豆の国市保健センターで現場研修を受けたり、先日開催された日本国際保健医療学会東日本地方大会では学会発表を経験したり、精力的に研修に励みました。
Through the JICA Yokohama "Japanese-Brazilian Society Trainee Acceptance Program" system, we accepted one Japanese-Brazilian doctor as a trainee at Juntendo University Global Health Research in FY2023. In addition to university lectures, the trainee received on-site training at the collaborating Izu-no-kuni Health Center, and experienced academic presentations at the recently held Japan Society for International Health and Medical Sciences conference, and is energetically worked on his training.

2023年6月26日、WHO西太平洋事務局のDr KandaとDr Xu両氏は、順天堂大学グローバルヘルス研究科、チェンマイ・ラジャバット大学科学技術学部公衆衛生学科、チュラロンコン大学、東京有明医療大学の共同研究を実施したタイ王国チェンマイの高齢者地域包括ケア（CIIC）プロジェクトを訪問しました。 CIICトライアルの主任研究者は順天堂大学のMyo Nyein Aung准教授が務めました。プロジェクトチームはこれまでの取り組みをWPRO職員に説明し、今後のCIICモデルの規模拡大と、西太平洋地域でのプロジェクト実施の可能性についても議論されました。
On June 26, 2023, Dr Kanda and Dr Xu from the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office visited Chiang Mai, Thailand, where the Department of Global Health Research, Juntendo University, Department of Public Health, Faculty of Science and Technology, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Chulalongkorn University, and Tokyo Ariake University of Medical Science have conducted a joint study on the Community Integrated Intermediary Care for the older people (CIIC) project in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Associate Professor Myo Nyein Aung of Juntendo University served as the principal investigator for the CIIC trial. The project team briefed WPRO staff on their efforts to date and also discussed the possibility of scaling up the CIIC model in the future and implementing the project in the Western Pacific region.

先日行われたThe International Higher School of Medicine（IHSM）の創立記念式典と卒業式において、卒業生（IHSM、2015年卒）であるイシュティアク・アーマッド医学博士が、IHSMの学長であるスタルベク・M・アクンバエフ教授から優秀卒業生栄誉賞を授与されました。また、アーマッド博士は研究方法論についての講義を行い、教員や学生はよい刺激を受けていました。
At the recent anniversary and graduation ceremony of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, MD, PhD, an esteemed alumnus(IHSM, Batch 2015), was honoured with the Outstanding Alumni Honoury Award by IHSM's Rector, Professor Stalbek M. Akhunbaev. Dr. Ahmad also gave a lecture on Research Methodologies that motivated and inspired both students and faculty.
